Toddler Group
Please note that due to popular demand we are unable to take new members at the moment. Thank you for your understanding.
The Group meets in the church hall on Wednesdays from 09.30 to 11.30 during term-time, and on occasions in some school holidays. Our Group welcomes any children from babies as young as a few weeks, and all other pre-school ages accompanied by an adult. The Group charges £2 per session for up to 2 children and 1 adult with additional adults or children a further £1.00 each. The Group provides light refreshments of toast, juice and fruit for the children and tea/coffee and toast for the adults.

We have many toys for the children to play with, along with books, wooden puzzles and dressing-up clothes. We usually have story-time, sometimes including props for the children to see/touch and the singing of nursery rhymes including the actions. We also have craft sessions most weeks which proves extremely popular. Last year they made a frieze which was displayed on the wall for some time and this brought many compliments. All the special times in the year are brought to life in our craft sessions.
Each child receives a birthday card with the children all singing happy birthday – mums bring small cakes for the children to enjoy.
We have a monthly visit (usually on the first Wednesday) from Rachel Macaree of Prestige School of Dance who leads the children in active dancing and singing, which the children love. Parents contribute an extra 50p towards Rachel’s fee. We always hold a Christmas Party which includes a visit from Father Christmas, and each year one or two visits to Tiny Rockers is arranged.
We have had another successful year with an increase in regular attendees. New mums, dads, grandparents and other carers are always welcome, (with their children of course) to join our happy group and to replace the children when they go to school – (many of whom have been with us since they were babies)
